Our expenses were $17,213.33 and we received $12,493.08 in donations for the manufacture and set up process of this first complete version of the ARK between Sept 2019 - Feb 2020, leaving us at a deficit of $4,719.34.

Many other people who were unable to contribute financially, instead volunteered either on site or from their homes, and together we set-up a revolutionary new kind of aid project. Matthew Morgan
Matt donated $10,000! Single handedly funding the manufacturing of the vinyl and metal components for the tent, the creation of the stoves, the manifold, and all the other gear associated with those two central aspects of the ARK! Here are photos of some of the things he made possible with that gift, followed by $10,000.91 worth of corresponding receipts, in chronological order.
Group effort
All the remaining donations totaled $2493.08, which went towards our $2600 Subaru we needed as a reliable delivery vehicle to move meals into Tijuana. Through the support of Grace Ridge Brewing in Homer, AK, we raised $204 in cash. Two other anonymous donors gave us $1500, and $500 respectively towards this vehicle! We raised $175 on PayPal from Crane, Melisa Miller and Ed & Sara Berg. Chris Nolte also donated the $114.08 in gas to drive across country… to loan us his favorite car for two months while we acquired this Subaru.
Sherry Stead from Grace Ridge Brewing in Homer, Alaska has been so supportive and helpful through the entire Tijuana project. She donated the four kegs that are fitted to the new stoves, in addition to facilitating many of our cash donation through 2019 by allowing us to use the brewery for regular presentations.
Nomad Shelter, Jess & Lee Tenhoff
Jess and Lee Tenhoff of Nomad Shelter gave us their 24’ box truck for three months free of charge! It was a very generous gesture that was the whole reason we could harvest poles on the border of Canada and transport them to the border of Mexico along with a ton of other gear and the pallets of manufactured metal from Alaska. Once on site, the truck was an indispensable storage shed for our many tons of sensitive gear, tools and supplies while we set up the tent.
ARK spent $4,719.34 more than it received in donations for this process of manufacturing the components of the tent and stoves, moving them to the site, acquiring all the other necessary gear, feeding volunteers, paying vehicle insurances, etc, etc.
This was only possible because Lucid and Natty personally split the financial burden of keeping the kitchen afloat during this set-up process, loaning ARK the money it needed to exist. Here are the receipts for that remaining $4,719.34 not covered by donations, in chronological order.
